ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER PRODUCTION GRADE A REF NO: C1/15/10 Wildlife Trade and Regulation SALARY : R194 289 per annum CENTRE : Waterberg District: Lephalale Service Centre REQUIREMENTS : NQF 6 qualification in Nature Conservation. One (1) year working experience in the nature conservation field. Knowledge of environmental legislations and multilateral environmental agreements. Computer literacy (preferably packages such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, Internet etc.)Driver’s license. Ability to work overtime. Environmental Management Inspectorate (EMI) qualification will be an added advantage. DUTIES : Regulate and monitor the hunting industry. Management of damage causing animals. Regulate game capture operations and translocation. Regulate the establishment and the functioning of wildlife centres. Implement the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). Processing of permit applications for the use of natural resources.
