Environmental Scientist / Environmental Assessment Practitioner - South Africa

A vacancy for an ambitious Environmental Scientist / Environmental Assessment Practitioner has become available in our Port Elizabeth office. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates, suitable candidates will be based in Port Elizabeth but may work on projects in diverse locations. Applicants must be SA citizens, must have a valid driver’s licence, their own transport, and be willing to travel. The successful candidate will display the following competencies: Excellent knowledge and application of environmental legislation; Ability to work in a dynamic consulting environment; Committed team player; Excellent reporting and presentation skills – additional languages would be advantageous; and Analytical and integrative skills across diverse disciplines and sectors. Qualifications: A minimum of an Honours degree in Environmental Science; Environmental Management or related field; EAPASA registration; and 3 – 7 years of experience in Environmental Impact Assessment - ancillary expertise (e.g. in biodiversity, economics, air quality, etc.) will be an advantage.
