As an Estimator for our client, you will play a vital role in analyzing project requirements, assessing costs, and providing accurate estimates for various projects and tenders . Your expertise will ensure that the company remains competitive while delivering high-quality services to their clients. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of construction and equipment. Duties: Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope, requirements, and constraints of each project Conduct site visits to assess ground conditions, terrain, and any potential challenges that may impact project costs and timelines Utilize cost estimation software, historical data, and industry knowledge to accurately determine the costs associated with labor, materials, equipment, and overheads for each project. Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, excavation, grading, and other activities to quantify the required resources accurately. Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services required for the project. Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may affect project costs or timelines. Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to minimize risks. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop project budgets based on the estimated costs and resources required Prepare detailed and comprehensive cost estimates, proposals, and tenders for submission to clients. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of earthwork principles, excavation techniques, and construction methodologies. Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
