● Lead the coordination of M&E activities for the programmes, focusing specifically on capacity building of implementing partners and on systems for collecting data for measuring project implementation. This will include reporting requirements, indicator definitions, use of data tools and overall M&E, through formal and on-the-job training approaches. ● Develop data collection tools for all projects in line with the Organisation's programme theory. ● Conduct research and general data analysis (online and in the field). ● Lead routine and participatory data quality assessments in collaboration with the programme management team and ensure the development and implementation of a data quality improvement plan. ● Support the implementation of the programme theory and recommend any possible amendments based on the lessons learned. ● Produce quality monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by the Organisation. ● Confidently engage with internal (management and peers) and external (partners, donors, stakeholders etc.) ● Enjoy making data tell a story to measure the Organisation's impact by employing advanced data analysis and interpretation techniques. ● Additional responsibilities may include other programmatic, operational support and, administrative-related duties to help ensure accountability and efficiency for all interventions. Completed Tertiary qualification in M&E, Development Studies, Economics, Psychology, Education, Entrepreneurship, or Related Fields is compulsory. A post-graduate M&E qualification / certificate is essential. Functional Competencies – Skills, Knowledge, & Experience A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in a MERL-related role including a minimum of one year in a leadership role. Experience in, and passion for, youth development or education. (Preference will be given to candidates with experience gained in the non-profit sector) Fluency in English is essential and at least one African language (isiZulu, Setswana, or isiXhosa is preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft applications essential with an advanced level of Excel Proficiency in additional data collection and analysis applications will be welcomed.
