Reference: JHB000213-LL-2PURPOSE OF THE ROLEPublic RelationsAccountable for defining and developing the brand and integrated marketing communications plans with the aim of targeting the firm's key segments through multiple touchpoints using ATL and BTL campaignsFunctional Areas: Media Planning & Strategy Marketing & Brand Communications Sponsorships & Events Digital Marketing Trade Marketing Public Relations DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Define and reinforce the firm’s market position through brand positioning and affinity-driving campaigns Design and manage the integrated marketing communications plan across all segments, channels, and products for ATL and BTL using innovative and customer-oriented go-to-market strategies Manage and drive CSB’s marketing efforts across online and offline channels Align marketing communications with go-to-market trade marketing Optimize media channels, media networks, and available properties Liaise with HR Heads to develop measures that will drive employee advocacy and position the firm’s as an employer of choice Provide oversight on brand framework and architecture design including developing and maintaining a comprehensive set of brand identity tools and guidelines across the firm’s group Define, manage, and evolve the firm’s sponsorship strategy and portfolio to uplift brand equity KEY STAKEHOLDERS Group Executive Committee CSB Executive Committee Board Social and Ethics Committee Group Communications Management Committee (peers across all functional areas of the business) Marketing Executives across the firm’s Business Units External agency partners External Media and Broadcast Partners FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE Marketing in the Telecommunications or fast-paced service industries; Corporate communication; Stakeholder management; Sponsorships and events FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Brand Development; Media planning & execution; Supplier Management ATTITUDES/ LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES Thought Leadership: Develop strategies and create ideas and insight for the function Market Leadership: Develop expertise to seize opportunities, influence acquisitions, and improve market position Business Leadership: Pursue strategies, goals, and actions to drive implementation and achieve targets People Leadership: Empower, influence, and direct people to make decisions Personal Leadership: Embrace change and work in a team with an alignment of self-values QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Marketing Degree or equivalent 8 Years relevant experience, of which at least 3 years on senior management level Relevant certifications will be an added advantage A post-graduate qualification would be beneficial Relevant experience in a telecommunications or fast-paced environment, of which at least 3 years on senior management level .
