External Specification Rep | Cape Town and JHB | Tile and building industry Our client, a leading provider of innovative tiling, tabletop, and countertop solutions is a seeking dynamic and driven External Specification Rep to join their team. As an External Specification Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and other specifiers to promote our products and drive specifications. You will act as a key liaison between our client and external stakeholders, providing product information, technical support, and guidance throughout the specification process. Vacancies are located in Cape Town and Johannesburg. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and target architects, designers, contractors, and specifiers to promote our products and services Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication and engagement Educate specifiers about our product offerings, features, and benefits to drive specifications and increase brand awareness Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for specifiers to showcase our products and capabilities Provide technical support and assistance to specifiers throughout the project lifecycle, including product selection, installation, and maintenance Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge Prepare and deliver reports, forecasts, and presentations to management on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback KEY REQUIREMENTS Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field advantageous Proven experience in sales, business development, or specification within the building materials industry, preferably in tiling, tabletop, or countertop products Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly and persuasively Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive results Self-motivated and proactive with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software Salary : Negotiable based on candidate qualifications, skills and experience To apply for the External Specification Rep | Cape Town and JHB | Tile and building industry please email your CV in a word document together with a recent photo of yourself.
