Fabric Dispatch Supervisor - Durban

This role forms part of our 7 600m2 Northfield Raw Materials Warehouse, which houses our fabrics and trims to supply our manufacturing facilities in Lesotho as well as a state-of-the-art quality lab for fabric testing, employing first-class technology. The Fabric Dispatch Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring that all fabric is efficiently picked and dispatched in order to meet the bulk production needs of our factories to provide a brilliant workwear solution to our customers. The main responsibilities of the role include: Supervise the Dispatch team and ensure all completed orders are handed over to the logistics company accurately and on time. Investigate and report on all service levels internally regarding picking through to dispatch. Communicate with external parties to ensure orders are delivered timeously. Investigate outstanding orders and ensure the oldest order is picked, invoiced, and dispatched accordingly. Ensure proof of delivery is submitted to the Finance team timeously. Ensure processes are followed across the Picking and Dispatch Teams. Work to tight deadlines in a demanding, high-volume warehouse. Proactively deal with queries, and escalate to the Warehouse Leader, where appropriate. Conduct regular spot checks are being done on all orders dispatched. Work closely with the manufacturing team to resolve any queries that may arise. The experience we’re looking for: 3-5 years’ supervisory warehousing experience, ideally within large, modern FMCG or Clothing Retail DCs. Computer Literate using MS Office (including excellent knowledge of Excel). Syspro, WMS - Datascope and PowerBI systems are advantageous. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures. Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport. The type of personality that will excel: Is organised, systematic, works to a plan and gets “stuck in” to get the job done on time. Prides themselves on their attention to detail. Meticulous about ensuring all admin is up to date, completely accurate and under control. Understands the importance of deadlines and can work accurately and efficiently under pressure and with a sense of urgency. Works well within a team and holds everyone accountable to their commitments. Uses their initiative, has their finger on the pulse, and is proactive in all that is required. Is fluent in spoken and written English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Is willing to do what it takes to get the job done including working extended hours.
