Face Shovel Mechanic needed in Kathu / Kuruman, Northern Cape. Required: Earth Moving Equipment Mechanic Trade Certificate. N2 Passed (Diesel Trade Theory subject) Matric/ Grade 12. Strong Face Shovel experience Strong CAT experience Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle. All documents MUST be included with CV. Salary: R25,000 – R65,000 (Depending on experience / skills). Experience / Role: 3 Years minimum working experience Post Trade on opencast earthmoving equipment. 3 Years minimum working experience on Face Shovel Loading Equipment. Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policies. Breakdown and planned maintenance. Fault-finding. Requisition of parts needed. Job cards. Follow up on breakdowns. General tidiness and good housekeeping of site and other areas of responsibility. Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines as determined by the Supervisor.
