PURPOSE To provide effective and efficient support services to employees of the Department through the provision of sound management and maintenance of facilities. KEY RESULT AREAS Manage the services rendered by contractors Building Inspection Allocation of office space Facilitate payment of service providers Manage Human Resources COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS KNOWLWDGE Knowledge and understanding of Contract Management Knowledge and understanding of Logistical Management Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management Processes Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Knowledge and understanding of Knowledge of PFMA and GIAMA Knowledge and understanding of Computer Literacy SKILLS Good personal skills Good leadership and managerial skills Ability to train people Ability to manage conflict situations effectively Client relations skills Communication skills (verbal and written) Management skills Team development skills Time management skills Electrical and plumbing skills PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Inspired and motivated Interact and communicate Flexible Reliable and honest Innovation person Ability to work under pressure and make decisions QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE A National Diploma in electrical or plumbing / N3 electrical or plumbing with trade test One-year relevant experience in building maintenance.
