Our client, in the packaging manufacturing industry, is looking to employ a Factory Manager for their factory in Pinetown, KZN. The purpose of the Factory Manager is too plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the organization. Supervising independent production departments and department managers. Managing project and order deadlines. Developing production efficiencies both within and between departments. Developing and implementing quality systems and controls. QMS systems (I.E. ISO9001), EMS and OHSAS. Developing and implementing production and order tracking systems. Research and development of new production techniques and systems – ability to cost and present and if necessary, implement independently. Manage existing plant facilities and equipment, replacing or adjusting plant facilities and equipment when necessary. Maintain industrial relations and HR relations with all levels of operations within the production unit. Create and maintain standard operating procedures for any factory process as necessary. Be knowledgeable on health & safety regulation and enforce compliance to prevent accidents and injuries. Strong management and leadership skills Min. 5 years' experience in industrial or production management Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory Experience in production and inventory management as well as quality control. Technically minded The ability to multitask Outstanding time management skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills
