Description Our client is seeking a Feedlot Manager to join their team, based in Oudtshoorn. Minimum Requirements:- Agricultural Degree advantageous 5 years industry-related experience Good understanding of ration formulation, managing forage and bovine nutrition Pasture and food management experience Computer Literacy (Microsoft - Word, Excel, Power Point) Valid driver's license Good managerial skills Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans Duties:- Oversee daily operations of the feed yards Ensure profitable operations of the feedlot to optimize feeding parameters Develop a feeding program for the herd, considering any special considerations Understand the nutritional requirements for the livestock of relevance, considering what promotes healthy growth Work with veterinarians to ensure animal health is maintained, and any sickness is caught immediately Ensure that the feedlot is clean and well maintained Report on weekly feedlot performance Manage a feed budget Manage all other feedlot staff effectively Manage feedlot and appropriate safety standards and relations with employees, suppliers and customers Interested in applying for this position?
