Our client based in Randburg is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fiber Optic Planner to join their team. The Fiber Optic Planner will be responsible for designing and planning Fiber optic networks, ensuring efficient and reliable connectivity for their clients. This role requires expertise in Fiber optic technology, network design, and project management. Key Responsibilities: Design and plan Fiber optic networks based on client requirements and industry standards. Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess network deployment options. Develop detailed network plans, including route maps, cable layouts, splice plans, and equipment specifications. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure network designs meet technical requirements and standards. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for materials procurement and network construction. Perform network capacity analysis and recommend upgrades or expansions as needed. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct regular inspections and audits of Fiber optic infrastructure to maintain performance and reliability. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve network issues. Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to Fiber optic networks. Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Planner or similar role in the telecommunications industry. In-depth knowledge of Fiber optic technology, network architecture, and design principles. Proficiency in Fiber optic network planning and design software/tools (e.g., GIS, CAD). Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Additional Requirements: Ability to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
