- Maintain financial accounts through meticulous month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations in line with IFRS standards.
- Develop intricate financial models to drive strategic decision-making.
- Liaise with external auditors, ensuring smooth quarterly and annual audits, and implement recommendations promptly.
- Forecast monthly and quarterly cash requirements, prepare budgets, and manage receivables/payables efficiently.
- Collaborate with finance and credit operations teams for investor reporting, covenant compliance, and financial analysis.
- Monitor financial markets, providing crucial data for debt and equity pipelines, keeping the CEO and COO informed.
Your Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of financial accounts audit experience, with 5+ years in a high-growth startup.
- Lateral experience in corporate finance, investments, transactions, or Fintech is highly valued.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of IFRS9 standards.
- Familiarity with local taxation and experience in KRA audits.
- Professional qualification: CPA or ACCA.
- Added advantage: Fintech or Tier 1 East African Banking industry or Big Four accounting firms experience.
- Added advantage: Background in Fintech or Lending/Credit.
