Leading global pharmaceutical company is looking for a Finance Manager with previous or current experience in the pharmaceutical industry. This position is based in Midrand. The Finance Manager distributes the financial resources of a company, is responsible for the budget planning, and supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company Financial Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take Maintain the financial health of the organization Develop trends and projections for the Company's finances. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities Manage the preparation of the company's budget, Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets Predicting future financial trends Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk (evaluation of foreign profits and losses) Perform market research, data mining and business intelligence Maintain a strong financial analysis creating forecasts and models Liaising with banks and financial institutions to have a relevant credit line as per the business Analytics Analysing current and past financial data and performance Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement Coordinating with Finance Head to review financial information and forecasts Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans Analysing market trends and competitors Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information Reports Reports to be completed Reports to be sent to head quarters – real time basis MIS Report Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the company and future business decisions might be impacted Provide forex reports on real-time basis Forex Understanding of the international trade and exposure to multiple currencies Analysis of forex trends to understand the fluctuations Develop forecasts for hedging options with different financial institutions Create a strategy to minimise forex loss exposure Qualification: General finance related relevant qualification Skills and Experience: Proven experience as FM In depth knowledge of risk management practices Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software Ability to strategize and solve problems Strong organizational skills Excellent communication and people skills An analytical mind Previous experience within pharma industry essential and non-negotiable (generic preferred) 6-8 years' experience in a financial manager role (full finance portfolio) Software Applications: Excel (advanced) Sage Evolution SAP Business SAP R3 ERP Desired Skills: SAP R3 Sage Evolution risk management data analysis forecasting finance forex Employer & Job Benefits: Basic salary medical aid provident fund
