Finance Manager - Mining Experience - Evander
Hire Resolve has partnered with a leading mining house in Mpumalanga and is currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager with mining industry experience to join their team. As a Finance Manager with mining experience, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the mining companies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing financial guidance to senior management. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, cost analysis, and risk management. You will also be involved in business planning and strategy development, as well as managing relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors and tax authorities. Duties: Ensure financial statements comply with IFRS Preparation and review of monthly management accounts Preparation and review of interim and final corporate reporting pack Assessment and monitoring for new IFRS standards compliance Review and release of payments Review of cash flow forecasts Member of tender committee Commercial negotiation of contracts Regular engagements resulting from grievances from the local community Prepare, review and present annual operational budget Preparation, review and present financial models for new projects Review VAT Return submissions and reconciliation Finalisation and submission of all tax returns - annually Preparation of Audit and Risk Committee documents required for reporting Responsible for operatonal risk register Managing the audit process, timing and deadlines Any other requests relating to finance and administrative matters Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Qualified CA(SA) 8 - 10 years proven experience as a Finance Manager in the mining industry Strong understanding of mining industry regulations and financial practices Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills Experience in budgeting and forecasting Knowledge of cost analysis and risk management in the mining industry Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Benefits Salary negotiable Contact Hire Resolve today for your next career changing move.
