My client is seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join their team and play a vital role in maintaining their financial health. Reporting to the Financial Manager, you'll be at the forefront of financial accounting, ensuring that every penny is accounted for and every report is accurate.This role is based in Stellenbosch, Cape Town.Responsibilities: Data Management: Efficiently collect, process, record, and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Record Maintenance: Maintain meticulous records of revenue, expenditure, assets, and liabilities, guaranteeing compliance and transparency. Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports to provide insights into our financial performance and aid decision-making processes. Key Performance Areas: Data Capture: Ensure accurate and timely capturing of source data to facilitate smooth financial operations. Accounting Assistance: Support the accounting process up to the trial balance stage, working closely with the Financial Manager to maintain financial accuracy. Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounting records with third-party statements, identifying and rectifying discrepancies promptly. Invoice Generation: Generate fee invoices accurately and efficiently, contributing to our revenue management process. Debtors and Creditors: Assist in managing debtors and creditors, ensuring timely payments and maintaining positive relationships. Monthly Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports, providing key insights and analysis. Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake any other duties related to the finance role as assigned by the Financial Manager. Requirements: Diploma / Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 3 years experience in a similar role Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
