My client, a commodities distribution company based in the CBD, requires an experienced Accounting Officer who has exposure within the logistics/fmcg enviroment, fulfilling duties within logisitics and dealing with sales orders to join their establishment.
Duties include:
- Banking
- Reporting of bank balances daily
- Payment of supplier invoices
- Banking administrator
- Inter-account transfers
- Filing of bank statements
- Sales Orders
- Prepare and send order costings to supplier
- Prepare and update Order Reconciliation with new orders and incoming payments
- Prepare and update Order Summary reports per file per client
- Process pro-forma invoices based on new order requests and truck number allocation
- Prepare final invoicing
Other
- Intercompany loan reconciliations
- Preparation of statements for customers
- Month end processes
- Completing applications for various processes e.g. supplier/clearing agents/licensing etc
Logistics
- Filing new order requests to the shared drive
- Confirmation of transporter codes
- Compile and send release requests/booking of trucks
- Liaison with supplier for EDIs
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree relevant to the role
- 5-7 years working experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Experience in oil and gas industry, imports and/or logistics preferable
