Job description: The Role
Job Responsibilities
Budgets and Forecasts:
- Support in the predation of the annual budgets.
- Collation of information supporting the budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Preparation of monthly forecasts.
- Facilitate review by stakeholders.
Pnl review and analysis:
- Track actual costs vs budget vs changes in forecasts.
- Analyse component within P&L
- Gross margin (Support from Cost and Management Accountant)
- Production costs
- Trend analysis
- Relation analysis
- Test Cost types:
- Interest and charges
- Refining fees
Balance sheet:
- Reconciliation to ledgers:
- AP:
- AR:
- Prep and review recons.
- Statements
- Maintenance of ERP system.
- Insurance:
- Support the MD in managing the insurance portfolio.
- Involved in annual review process as well as any possible claims.
- Working Capital:
- Monitoring and Tracking.
- Reporting
- Setting target levels.
- Internal Controls:
- Review and make recommendations on possible improvements.
Annual Financial Statements:
- Support in the preparation of the AFS.
- Support in with the Annual financial Audit.
- Compliance with contracts:
- As a member of the finance team, act as custodian of companies assets, ensuring that payments are made in line with commercial terms.
- Bank and Cash:
- Review of cash bookings
- Review of recons
- Release of payments and loading new vendors.
- Trading desk:
- Analysing monthly trades and trading pnl, with a breakdown of why and how pnl was earned.
