Financial Accountant - - Cape Town City Centre

My client in the telecommunications industry is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team. If you have SAIPA or SAICA Articles please apply!

Responsibilities:

Oversight and general maintenance of financial records
Supporting and guiding the finance team as needed
Monthly and yearly financial close activities and reconciliations
Timely preparation and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Monthly VAT submissions
Maintenance of fixed asset register
Review of monthly payment packs
Preparation of monthly management accounts for review
Preparation of accounts for annual audit / review
Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement
Other ad-hoc tasks associated with the role

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting
SAICA articles
Minimum 2-3 years experience
Computer program experience working on Caseware & Syspro (beneficial) and Strong Excel skills
