Reference: PTA001065-CD-2A well-established steel stockist is seeking an energetic Financial Accountant to be responsible for the full accounting function for a group of Property, Management and Investment companies. This will become a hybrid role with their main operations based in Brakpan. Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a minimum B Com Financial Accounting with articles (SAICA or SAIPA) completed Minimum 2 - 4 years’ post articles experience is essential Must have advanced Excel skills with Pastel Partner an advantage Good communication skills and attention to detail are important for this role The successful candidate will be responsible for: Supervising the accounting department with 4 members. Preparing monthly management accounts. Preparing and processing payments. Preparing monthly VAT and EMP201 returns. Overseeing outsourced Property Managers. Preparing the daily cash flow. Recording financial transactions accurately and correctly. Supervising debtors and creditor accounts. Ensuring Tax and VAT compliance. Preparing daily sales and operational reports. Maintaining and reconciling income statement and balance sheet accounts. Submitting payments for approval. Checking and updating import costings as new information becomes available. Processing daily stock adjustments. Reviewing credit note requests and creditors reconciliations. Preparing and processing month end adjustments. Processing foreign supplier invoices. Preparing monthly VAT and EMP201 returns. Maintaining the fixed assets register. Checking sales quoting analysis and preparing reports. Performing of data integrity checks before/after working hours on a rotational basis. Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidates R 45000 - R 55000 - Monthly plus Performance Bonus
