We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient accounting professional to assume the role of Financial Accountant. Key duties: - Reconcile balance sheet accounts - Review income statement accounts - Processing of month end journals - Review of weekly wages and supplier payments - Supervise and assist existing finance staff - Assist with the implementation of internal controls - Calculation of monthly VAT submissions - Processing of two property companies - Assist management with ad hoc analysis, investigations & reporting Requirements: - Bachelors degree or diploma in accounting - Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles (Advantageous) - Financial accounting experience - Technical competence (Accounting) - Advanced skills – MS Excel - Syspro (Advantageous) - Stock control experience (Advantageous) Inherent characteristics: - Self-motivated and self-disciplined - Pro active - Attention to detail - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Approachable What we offer: - Competitive market related salary - Pension fund contribution - Fantastic working environment Apply Now
