Boutique professional accounting practice seeks an energetic accountant ready for a career in management accounting and related consulting services, including financial management, taxation and company secretarial. The company The company has been providing turnkey professional accounting, taxation and secretarial services to its clients for more than 20 years. Clients mostly stem from the non-profit sector, but also include a dynamic investment company as well as owner managed profit-making companies. The role would suit a driven individual who is able to work unsupervised but uses sound judgement on when to seek collegial support. The position on offer is based in the southern suburbs and for middle management with opportunities to write your own future. An existing client portfolio, and growth for those with an entrepreneurial flair. Applicants must have a desire to work in the accounting practice environment. The duties may range across the accounting, secretarial and taxation functions, including: bookkeeping to management accounting from budgeting to cash flow fund reporting to presentation of financial statements minute taking to CIPC lodgement tax computations to dispute resolutions oversight and management of staff The successful candidate's strengths will be nurtured to enable a self-determining future commensurate to saleability. Whilst accounting qualification is a pre-requisite, applicants will have the opportunity to explore specialisation in any of the related service offerings. Applicants should have a minimum of a degree in accounting and 3 to 5 years related experience. Advanced Microsoft office skills and exposure working on accounting software packages Ability and desire to register at a professional body preferred Initiative and analytical in nature Strong literacy skills with the ability to articulate thought process in written form Presentation and report writing skills preferred. Salary range R30k – R35k per month
