Reference: JHB007276-JO-1Large Manufacturing concern, has an opening for a Financial Controller to join their team. The purpose of the role is to provide overall financial management of the activities of the region and to provide financial assistant to the Regional Manager and Region Team. The role will ideally suit a male. Valid drivers license essential . A completed B.Com (Accounting / similar) is a minimum requirement, coupled with 5 years management experience in the Manufacturing / Operations or Recycling industry. JD Edwards experience essential. KPI's include : ensuring the timely and accurate review and preparation of management accounts and reports for management; manage financial controls; ensuring compliance t VAT, tax, customs, IFRS, policies and procedures, risk and implement corrective measures for non-compliance; maintain the integrity of the financial systems; manage and lead staff; manage capex applications; ensure up to date status of records for year-end including debtors, creditors and fixed assets of the region; resolve reconciling terms on debtors and creditors; ensure stock procedures are followed; approving and monitoring expenses in line with group policy; ensure adequate policies and procedures are in place; manage the month-end and year-end accounting process; budgeting and forecasting; preparation of the weekly flash; manage the payment process for waste and trade creditors; assist with commercial related decisions and support the Regional and Branch Managers with regards to financial decision-making. 620000K - 620000K pa
