Employer Description Industrial chemical manufacturing, marketing and distribution company. Job Description Key Responsibilities and accountabilities Manage accounting operations including billing, A/R (accounts receivable), A/P (accounts payable), and revenue recognition. Support in closing of the company's books in an accurate, timely and efficient way in accordance with IFRS for small and medium sized entities. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation. To support in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements. Create and monitor company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances on a monthly basis. Administer loan agreements for company borrowings and collecting moneys owed to the company from customers. Accurately carry out various and relevant forms for tax calculations as per tax legislation. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings. Support in the development and documenting of business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls and process flow. Facilitate the delivery of chemical products to customers and ensure that all documentation is prepared and correct Manage external relationships and support the appointed accounting firm as well as be a liaison for audit firm. Support, understand and implement of the company's financial strategy. Identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business. Uphold, safeguard and promote the organization's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity and corporate responsibility. Qualifications BCom Accounting Degree Skills 5 Years Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with creating financial statements. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills Exp Salary / Package R450K - R500K
