Exiting opportunity in Elandsfontein for a qualified and experienced candidate This position reports into the Group Financial Controller. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provides accurate, timely, reliable, and complete financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports, performing transactional processing and close, consolidate, reporting procedures. • Executes on the financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting function for Skynet Innovation Lab • Prepare & process monthly journal entries and maintain fixed asset registers. • Prepare monthly profit and loss statements for all branches and all business units. • Perform variance analysis on all GL accounts. • Prepare monthly balance sheet recons. • Process of PO, PI, and process necessarily recons for payments • Be involved in the improvement of the financial statements. • Prepares asset, liability, capital account entries by compiling and analysing accounts. • Documents financial transactions by entering account information. • Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options. • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports that management may require. • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents and addresses financial audit queries. • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. • Ensure payroll / wages schedules reconciled and process timeously for payment deadlines. • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information. • Secures financial information by completing data base backups. • Maintains financial security by following internal controls. • Complies with financial legal requirements (including Tax, Vat, IFRS etc) by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends. • Maintains customer confidence and protects ops by keeping financial information confidential. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Carry out all duties in accordance with ISO specifications. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION: ▪ Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Degree. ▪ Completed Articles training to become a Chartered Accountant will be preferred. ▪ CA(SA) recommended. ▪ Experience in financial accounting field. ▪ Experience in Courier and Logistics industry. ▪ South African citizen with clear criminal record ▪ Work with a high level of confidentiality. ▪ Own reliable transport Should you not receive a response within 10 working days, please consider your application as unsuccessful For any enquiries, please call 012 346 1950 R40 000 pm
