Our client in the fruit industry is currently looking for a Financial Manager to join their team. Their office are based on a farm (between Malmesbury and Wellington).

This position is hybrid- remote work while reporting to the farm once to twice a week. Ideal candidate will be based in the Cape Wineland region.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to optimize business performance.
Develop comprehensive financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
Analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance, identifying key drivers and proposing corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Partner with department heads to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with strategic objectives.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to address business challenges and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth and timely audits.
Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and controls to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
Proactively identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement, driving initiatives to maximize profitability.
Champion a culture of innovation and constructive challenge, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement within the finance function.

Requirements:

CIMA or CA qualification.
Experience in Dynamics NAV/Business Central
Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
Sound knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and accounting principles.

This position is hybrid, remote and based on the farm between Wellington and Malmesbury, and is full time, Monday-Friday.

Starting date: As soon as possible.

Location: Farm located between Malmesbury and Wellington, and remote work.

Salary: R70 000 - R80 000 CTC a month (depending on experience).
