We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our finance department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient utilization of financial resources and the achievement of our organisational goals. From producing detailed financial reports to leading tax planning initiatives, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within our company. Supervise the daily activities of the finance department, ensuring optimal utilization of staff and financial resources. Generate and distribute monthly management reports within specified timeframes. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, comparing actual expenditures to forecasts. Produce necessary financial reports for team members and the Board of Directors. Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the commercial manager and general manager. Lead tax planning efforts to optimize financial outcomes. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to financial control, management, and accounting. Coordinate external audit processes and maintain audit readiness. Conduct accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and inter-company accounts. Implement and enforce finance policies, procedures, and systems across all departments. Manage income, cash flow, and expenditure, overseeing approximately R200 million annually. Develop and maintain robust financial systems to support organizational needs. Provide operational support as required, including reporting on inventory activities and variances. Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices. Coordinate the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, addressing concerns with professionalism and confidentiality. Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyse financial data and streamline processes. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; or professional finance qualification preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance manager or similar role. Proficiency in Sage Payroll preferred. Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
