MARULA PLATINUM LIMITED INTERNAL/EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT FITTER & TURNER DATE OF DISTRIBUTION 05.01.2024 CLOSING DATE 14.01.2024 PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To be responsible for all mechanical work in the identified area of responsibility and to ensure proper maintenance and reliability of machines. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12/ STD 10 / NQF Level 4 is essential. Recognised relevant Trade qualification (Section 13 or Section 26D with proof of training) is essential OR Proof of recognised completed apprenticeship contract (completed by means of effluxion of time) NTC 2 (relevant Trade Theory and specialised courses) is essential. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working on underground conveyor belt, de-watering pumping systems and rock breaker machines is essential. Valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate is essential. COMPETENCIES: Must be self-driven and highly motivated. Must have the ability to maintain a high standard of work. Must be willing to perform standby duties as and when required. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The successful candidate is responsible for: General maintenance and proper running of conveyor belt systems, pumping system, winches, main vent fans, surface and underground service pipes installation Perform routine maintenance on dewatering pumps and rock breaker machines Identify new opportunities to improve overall equipment availability and reliability of the section Enforce compliance with the MHS Act and regulations on this section Ensure that subordinates adhere to all company standards, safe work procedures and compliance with safety IMPORTANT: Your manager must indicate, in writing, that he/she is aware of your application (This applies to Implats employees and contractors) SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES MAY BE SUBJECTED TO PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENTS - MARULA PLATINUM LTD RESERVES THE RIGHT NOT TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
