SA STEELWORKS - FITTERS ASSISTANT AIRPORT INDUSTRIA – CAPE TOWN The SA Steelworks Fitters Department requires a committed, hardworking and motivated individual to join their team. The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to General functions within the Fitters Department. RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Changing water and hydraulic pipingStrip machine parts for cleaningAssemble machine parts after cleaning themPerform routine inspectionsDo greasing on plant equipment as well as vehiclesFilling of grease gunsCleaning of the workshop areas (Housekeeping )Be able to measure equipment, read a tape measureAssisting the Manager / Supervisor with Ad hoc dutiesAdhere to health and safety regulations and instructions and advise the responsible person whenever there are risks identified Under supervision: Assist the fitter with bigger maintenance tasksAssist with Operating grinders ,drilling machines safelyAssist with changing drill bits and grinder disksFit bearings and grease before assemblyIdentify different tools /spanners QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 certificateCertificate in Fitting and TurningPrevious experience in a similar environmentA general knowledge off hand tools and electrical toolsWillingness to work overtime as per operational requirements if and when required QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES Ability to work in a team environmentAble to work independentlyAbility to work under challenging physical and climatic conditionsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to function efficiently in pressurized work situationsIn good health and physically fitMust be of sober habits https://protool.gumtree.co.za/external-link-browser.html?urlaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZGl0dG8uam9icy9qb2IvZ3VtdHJlZS8yNjYwODIzMjUzP3NvdXJjZT1ndW10cmVl&jid1608100&xid2660823253
