A well-known flavour company requires the above to apply flavours to food products and new food product development. Minimum requirements for the role: A national diploma in food technology / BSc food sciences or similar qualification is essential for this role. Knowledge of flavour chemistry, aroma compounds, and sensory analysis techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Involved in R&D, handling the application of savoury and sweet flavours and final product recipes. Conducting GC analysis to create new flavours and flavour matches with the help of the Technical Manager Improving formulations and liaising with customers regarding complaints on technical issues. Costing products and creating and filing all new formulations. Conducting sensory evaluation and ensuring timely and quality brief execution. Maintaining organised and efficient laboratory equipment and environment. Providing technical flavour support to customers as needed. Assist with quality documentation, COAs, Halaal and Kosher certificates. Providing ongoing creative support in the development of flavour applications. Working with sales representatives to match client briefs and the rest of the team to ensure the company achieves their yearly goals.
