Fleet Controller - - South Africa

Main purpose of the Job:

Ensure the companys vehicle fleet is well maintained and kept in a presentable manner at all times, ultimately aiming to extend the economic lifetime of the vehicle/equipment, reduce downtime and meeting the requirements for distribution.

Preferred Requirements:

Matric
Relevant formal tertiary qualification (Transport Economics, Transport Management, etc.).

Knowledge:

Knowledge of fleet management principles, legislative requirements for licencing, procurement and disposal of commercial vehicles.
Knowledge and understanding of how efficient vehicle management integrates into a total supply chain environment.
Knowledge of key measurables generally associated with the management of a vehicle fleet.
Basic knowledge of mechanical workings of a commercial vehicle as well as refrigeration units.
Administration and Management Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of resources.

Well-developed statistical and analytical skills.
ERP Intermediate understanding of ERP system and principles
