Floor Manager - Luxury Restaurant - Cape Town City Centre

We are looking for a dedicated, well presented and experienced Floor Manager to join a Luxury Property. The Floor Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining floor, providing exceptional service to the guests, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant. Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operation of the dining floor, including managing the seating arrangement, guest flow, and table turnover to ensure an optimal dining experience. Supervise and support the front-of-house team, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers, to ensure they deliver exceptional service and adhere to established standards. Train new front-of-house staff on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure consistency and quality of service. Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring tables are set properly, and the ambiance is welcoming for guests. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the guest. Assist with seating arrangements during peak hours, ensuring efficient use of space and timely seating of guests. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests. Conduct pre-shift meetings with front-of-house staff to communicate daily specials, events, and any other relevant information. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of dining supplies, such as menus, tableware, and condiments, placing orders as needed. Work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience and increase customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards to provide a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff. Assist with special events and promotions as needed, including coordinating reservations and managing guest expectations. Requirements: Previous luxury brand experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume restaurant setting. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the flexibility to handle various tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in restaurant POS systems and other relevant technology. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
