- Manage expenses and control shrinkage and wastage within budget limits
- Meet departmental budgets and targets consistently
- Determine and maintain ideal stock levels for each product category
- Monitor ordering records, implement delivery improvements, and conduct regular stock checks
- Achieve correct stock levels, minimising wastage
- Conduct spot checks to ensure accurate pricing
- Adjust prices based on market surveys and maintain tidy pricing at all points of sale
- Ensure neat displays, clean premises, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the department
- Assist in hiring and training floor staff
- Efficiently schedule staff, address performance issues, and maintain discipline
- Manage staff attendance, ensuring high rates
- Effectively communicate with HR and management on productivity, staffing, and training
- Keep staff informed of changes to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Handle all administrative tasks promptly and stay up-to-date
- Address additional tasks assigned by management
