Food Production Manager - South Africa
Exciting Opportunity for a Production Manager with a Food Technology Degree Are you passionate about the food industry and ready to lead our production team to success? We are seeking a talented Production Manager with a Food Technology Degree to join our dynamic team and oversee our manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Production Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality food products. Responsibilities include: Leading and managing the production team to achieve production targets and quality standards Developing and implementing production schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency Monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices Managing inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance, to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including HACCP and GMP Training and developing production staff to enhance their skills and capabilities Overseeing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime Analyzing production data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement Participating in the development of annual budgets and managing production costs Requirements for this role include: A Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related field Previous experience in a production management role within the food industry Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements Excellent leadership and team management skills Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices Effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Proficiency in MS Office applications Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends, as needed If you're ready to take on this exciting challenge and make a significant impact in the food industry, we want to hear from you Join us in our mission to deliver high-quality food products to consumers and drive operational excellence.
