FOOD SERVICE AID (7 POSTS) REF NO: 07026 Directorate: Logistics SALARY : R 77 718 – R 91 548 per annum (plus benefits) CENTRE : Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH) REQUIREMENTS : Basic elementary education/literacy .Grade 10-12 numerical skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Appropriate knowledge of pre-preparation and preparation of food. Previous experience in food service/food related sector will be an advantage. Must be able to work shifts, Sundays and public holidays. Awareness of Batho Pele principles and able to work under pressure. DUTIES : The preparation of food for normal, therapeutic diets and snacks. Preparation of fluids diet and feeds in the tube feed area. Cleaning of the kitchen and disinfecting of the equipment on daily basis. Daily distribute meals as per allocated ward, collect diet sheet on time and keep your trolleys and Blanco boxes clean. Check milk and bread issued to the wards every morning. Report all faulty equipment’s to supervisor. Be responsible for all allocated resources to your section. To adhere to all food service policies and procedures. Be prepared to relieve in all food service areas when required. Be willing to undergo continuous training and development programs.
