Our client require a skilled and experienced Painting and Waterproofing Foreman to oversee all aspects of painting and waterproofing projects in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will take full responsibility for the site/project, ensuring successful completion within specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Foreman will manage materials, labor resources, client interactions, invoicing, quality control, costing, scheduling, and variations effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

   • Take full responsibility for the site/project from start to finish.
   • Coordinate and manage all resources, including materials and labor, to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
   • Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site.

2. Client and Contractor Interaction:

   • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors.
   • Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
   • Attend contractors'' site meetings to provide progress updates and address any issues or changes.

3. Measurement and Invoicing:

   • Measure work done accurately to prepare monthly certificates and invoices.
   • Ensure timely submission of invoices

4. Quality Control:

   • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project.
   • Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets specifications and standards.
   • Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.

5. Cost Control:

   • Manage project costs effectively and keep within allowable budgets.
   • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-control measures.

6. Scheduling:

   • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
   • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to align with project timelines.

7. Variation Management:

   • Identify scope changes and variations in the project.
   • Prepare and submit variation orders or re-quotes as necessary.
   • Ensure all variations are documented and approved by relevant parties.

8. Snagging:

   • Address and resolve snagging issues promptly to maintain project progress.
   • Conduct final inspections to ensure all work is completed to satisfaction before handover.

Requirements:

• Minimum requirement Matric / Grade 12 or equivelant
• Proven experience as a Painting and Waterproofing Foreman or similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of painting and waterproofing techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in measuring
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Valid driver''s license.
