LOCATION: RUSTENBURG, NW The Forklift Driver will operate forklift trucks to move, lift, and position materials and equipment required for smelter rebuilds and associated construction projects. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklift trucks to transport materials, machinery, and equipment around the construction site. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage. Material Placement: Precisely place materials in designated locations, whether in storage areas or directly at work sites, according to project needs. Maintenance: Perform daily checks and routine maintenance forklift trucks to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow sitespecific safety guidelines. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions. Inventory Assistance: Work with storemen and inventory managers to ensure accurate tracking and documentation of materials moved onsite. Coordination: Collaborate with site supervisors, riggers, and other construction personnel to coordinate lifting and moving operations. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents that occur during operations. Physical Requirement : Certificate of fitness and ability to work at heights. SHE Requirement Site Specific Induction Additional Requirements: Certification in inventory management or supply chain management is a plus. Willingness to work extended hours, weekends and shut downs on various AAP as necessary to meet project deadlines. Valid drivers license Minimum of 23 years' experience operating forklift trucks in a construction or industrial environment. Proficient in inventory management systems and software. Good handeye coordination and spatial awareness. Understanding of load capacities, material handling techniques, and safety regulations related to forklift trucks. High level of precision in handling materials and operating equipment. Cooperative and communicative, able to work well within a team to achieve common goals. Market Related.
