A well-established company located on the East Rand is looking for a Forklift Technician to join their team Minimum Education: Matric / Any related trade will be advantageous Minimum Experience: 2 - 4 years’ experience Duties and Requirements includes but is not limited to the following: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal functionality and safety compliance. Troubleshoot and identify issues with forklifts, both electrical and mechanical, and undertake necessary repairs to address problems efficiently. Replace faulty or worn-out components, ensuring the use of quality replacement parts and adherence to manufacturer specifications. Conduct tests and calibrations on various forklift systems, including hydraulics, brakes, and steering, to guarantee proper functioning. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Ensure that forklifts meet safety regulations and standards, addressing any safety concerns promptly to create a secure working environment. Respond to breakdowns or emergencies promptly, executing quick and effective repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
