Fund Accountant - Cape Town City Centre
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Manage cash flow, oversee investment transactions, and record them accurately in the accounting system to ensure timely and precise NAV reporting
Conduct regular reconciliations of cash and stocks, promptly investigating any discrepancies to prevent NAV errors
Monitor asset pricing daily and monthly, verifying sources for corporate actions to guarantee accurate valuation and prevent pricing errors in asset valuation
Oversee and conduct regular compliance reviews on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure adherence to scheme specifications and to address any issues highlighted in compliance reviews and reports
Send valuation emails to a predetermined distribution list promptly to ensure all relevant parties are informed of the NAV in a timely manner
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years relevant financial services experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel, Outlook and Word
Strong time management skills and adeptness at handling pressure
Ability to train other team members
Excellent communication skills
Qualification:
A Degree in Accounting; Finance or Investments
Completed 3-year SAICA/SAIPA articles
