Job Vacancy: General ForemanOur client is a well-established Construction Company operating in the built environment.They are currently are currently seeking a General Foreman to join their team.Responsibilities:Responsible for site set-up and layoutManage and meet project budgetsSupervise on-site staff and sub-contractorsEnsure compliance with occupational Health, Safety and Environment requirementsProcure materials and equipment efficientlyEnsure project timelines and milestones are metMinimum Requirements:NQF Trade Certificate/Grade 12 CertificateMinimum of a Matriculation/Diploma (Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)National Technical Diploma/Certificate/Diploma in ConstructionFormal Certificate/Diploma in Health Safety and Environment ManagementValid driver’s license requiredPreferred Competencies:3 to 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory capacityIn-depth knowledge of construction site Health Safety and Environment requirementsProven track record managing personnel resources onsiteStrong time management and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to build relationships with sub-contractors and other service providersCost management expertiseAbility to read and comprehend construction site architectural/engineering drawingsAvailability: Immediate or as soon as possible See Description See Description
