RPO Recruitment is currently working with a reputable client in the Cape Town area who is looking for a skilled Geologist to join their team. As a Geologist, you will be responsible for conducting geological surveys, analyzing geological data, and providing expert insights to support various projects and operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and provide valuable input to ensure the effective and efficient exploration and extraction of natural resources. Responsibilities: Conduct geological surveys and investigations to identify potential resources and assess their feasibility Collect and analyze geological samples, data, and other relevant information using various techniques and tools Interpret geological data, maps, and models to extract valuable insights and make informed recommendations Contribute to the development and implementation of exploration and extraction plans Assess and manage geological risks to ensure the safety and sustainability of operations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide geological input and support decision-making processes Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in geology to continuously improve knowledge and skills Requirements Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field At least 5 years' experience as a Geologist in the mining or water supply industry Strong knowledge of geological principles, theories, and concepts Proficiency in using geological tools, software, and equipment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Willingness to travel and work in field locations as required Benefits Salary: Negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) of applicable Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.
