Job Advert Summary A management role reporting to the Senior Manager: Graduate Division. The role in the PPS Graduate Division is to serve as a platform to successfully launch young graduate financial advisers in to the financial industry by equipping them with the necessary skills to become independent professional advisors working exclusively in the professional market. This is a sales driven job. The successful candidate needs to be target-orientated and motivated by incentive remuneration, as the package is incentivised and linked to sales targets. The Division is looking for a young, dynamic graduate professional with experience in prospecting, connecting and motivating a team of young professionals to achieve sales targets. Minimum Requirements Education: A relevant B degree or equivalent qualification. Certified Financial Planner would be advantageous. Completed RE 5. Completed Class of Business. Experience: 2 – 5 years’ Financial services experience with 2 - 4 years in a management role. 1 - 2 year supervisory and oversight experience (Cat. 1 Long term - FAIS). 2 - 3 years’ sales management experience. Knowledge and skills: Intermediate knowledge of the Life Assurance or Financial Services Industry. Knowledge (and skill) in how to successfully influence and persuade others by understanding how their individual needs and motivations link to goals is essential. Solid knowledge in coaching and mentoring. A sophisticated understanding of the diverse young professional market. Sound knowledge of MS Office package, particularly Internet, Outlook and Excel. In depth insights and understanding of the FAIS Act. Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Skills: Results Focus and Initiative. Collaborative. Leading People. Problem Solving and Decision Making. Effective Communication. Quality Orientated. Customer Focused. Resilient. Results Driven. Persuasive. Duties and Responsibilities Actively identify, recruit, train and license new advisors. Vesting and managing existing advisers in the young professional marketplace. Agree on targets and service levels with advisors. Guide young advisors to build a professional financial advisory practice. Provide constant communication and support to advisors relating to all aspects of advisor operations. Monitor the flow of and resolve any problems relating to the successful submissions of application form. Travel nationally to visit branches. Gain and train the practical “know how” of the industry. Take responsibility for growing premium income and member numbers. Stay up to date with industry related trends. Manage a budget. Lead and manage a successful intern program. Continuous supervision of new recruits to align to the fit and proper requirements as set out by the FAIS Act. Continuous training and development of Graduate Advisors. Manage the pipeline of the Graduate Advisors to drive production. Excel within the PPS sales targets (on all product categories). Build sound long-term relationships with all stakeholders. Proactively manage and report on advice risk aligned to compliance requirements. Apply Now
