Suitably Qualified & Experienced Safety Officer is required to support and promote safety across all structures of the group. Reporting to Group HR Manager the incumbent will be responsible for but not limited to the following:- Conduct risk assessments and audits on all business sections including client sites Implement and facilitate SHEQ policies and procedures across all teams Review and compile safety files ensuring they meet all the regulated and acceptable standards Perform safety awareness and induction sessions for all employees across the business sections Advice and coordinate saftey training including medicals for all employees working in high risk areas, making sure they have the correct PPE and valid certifications Perform regular tool talks and keeping attendance in check Compile and manage budget for all health & safety obligations Set up and manage procedure to procure and distribute applicable PPE Assist in aligning company saftey procedures to all business sections i.e fleet management, facilities etc including existing and future client projects Drive the process of selecting and training SHE Reps in various business sections Drive process of selecting committee members, coordinate plans, take minutes of meeting and review progress Perform continious assessments and planning to promote low levels of risk across all areas Update and maintain all relevant DoE posters and notices for compliance Conduct incident enquiries on all IOD matters,identify root causes and perform mitigation strategies Report accidents to DoE and to all applicable bodies according to regulated procedures Keep systematic record of all Health & Safey documents including medicals, IOD records, LOGS, policies etc Implement Quality Assurance system aligned to ISO and other relevant business areas Assist in conducting disciplinary interventions relating to Safety Perform quarterly and annual reviews that seek to promote effective SHEQ processes and procedures and present findings to senior personnel and management for change control purposes Month end reporting to immediate supervisor using internal reporting systems Desired Experience Incumbent must have a solid background and experience in managing health and safety section independantly for min 5years in a coporate ICT enviroment , must have been able to achieve clean audits in consecutive years. Must be able to formulate policies and procedures, compile professional safety files, conduct risk assessments and devise mitigation plans. Desired Qualification Min ND in Health & Safety and or Equivalent , in addition the incumbent must have some Safety certifications such as HIRA, NOSA, ISO 9000 series, First Aid, Safet Audit etc. Incumbet must possess a valid and unendorsed driver's license, own vehicle will be a plus Competive, depending on experience Apply Now
