Group Regional Property Manager Helios Towers is a leading independent telecommunications infrastructure company, having established one of the most extensive tower portfolios across Africa. It builds, owns and operates telecom passive infrastructure, providing services to mobile network operators. Helios Towers currently operates in 8 markets in Africa, Oman and Middle East. Overview As the Group Regional Property Manager at Helios Towers will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Helios Towers estate within their Region to ensure they are in line with strategic objectives. The individual will provide leadership and effective management of the build estate and Site acquisition governance through a combination of both in-house and outsourced resources. The Group Regional Property Manager will further be responsible to support recruitment, train Property teams in market and establish best practice and standardised processes and procedures. Location: Any of Helios Towers Operating Markets in Africa or Oman Role Responsibilities As Group Manager, you will be responsible for: Defining the implementation, oversee, reporting and governance of land acquisition processes for new sites incorporating the requirements of key investors such as the IFC. (Environmental, Indigenous Peoples, Cultural Heritage, Flora and Fauna etc) Commercial governance of rental payments and strategy, ensuring rents or land purchases are at market appropriate levels Overseeing and governance related to the transfer of physical assets on closing following M&A activities. Community / landlord issues to be centrally monitored Centralised governance and coordination of Notices to Quit, ensuring mitigation activities are delivered ensuring service continuity. Responsible for the facilities management of Helios Towers offices, including health & safety and maintenance Responsible for the management of all insurance policies and property related claims in allocated OpCo's Support lease negotiation of Helios Towers' offices, warehouses and other facilities in conjunction with SCM Being conversant with all legal requirements on site acquisitions/collocations and construction/erection of towers. Design in conjunction with respective OpCo's a standardised handover process of new build sites, check for governance in the documentation and report on any findings monthly to Group Property on the overall governance. Requirements for the Role To succeed in the role, you will be/will have: Minimum Degree Qualified At least 5 years prior work experience in Property Management and Managerial responsibilities Must be able to French Speaker Experience of driving results Be a Problem solver Compelling communication skills Stakeholder relations management Be able to build and support teams Experience in property management and contract management Experience in landlord management and lease management Experience of office/warehouse estate/facilities management Desired Skills RICS, CPM preferred Helios Towers is committed to promoting equal opportunities in employment.
