An exciting position has become available for a 6 months fixed term contract for a Hadoop Developer in the Johannesburg area. Overall 6-8 years of development experienceExperience working on Hadoop tools (like Sqoop, Hive, PIG, HBASE, etc.)Experience or knowledge in SPARK and SCALAExperience developing Batch data integration solutions with Spark StreamingFinancial Services / Banking experiencesDevelopment experience using Agile processShould be able to validate data in Hive/Impala by writing queriesProficient in writing SQL queries in Oracle DBUnderstanding of the Transformation mapping documents and validating source and target files/tables based on business logic.Good knowledge of Unix/Linux Shell scripting and implementing unix commands for data handling/manipulationAble to work in Agile-based methodologies.
