We are a family run business in the small town of Bedford in the Eastern Cape, as our business is expanding out towards surrounding town we have discovered a great demand for a store manager to run the store and manage day to day tasks Financial - Profitable store Ensure sales and costs are in line with the budget Manage gross profit by ensuring shrinkage kept to budgeted amount Take corrective action to deal with variances Ensure procedures to reduce shrinkage are in place and monitored Manage sales so that products sold across the product range Have up to date price comparisons of competitors Support annual budget process Customer service that makes home building simple for customers Increase customer count by: Making effective use of store promotions Ensure all staff understand their role in making home building simple for their customers. All products price marked accurately and merchandised correctly. Log and action customers' complaints daily. Ensure deliveries actioned promptly and accurately Management and leadership of staff All staff have signed Job Descriptions Direct reports have up to date action plans and monthly reports on progress All staff have performance appraisals. Staff meeting held to discuss: Report on store performance with emphasis on Making Home Building Simple Reward excellent performance Discuss store issues Communicate group issues Get feedback from staff Promotion plans Shrinkage and security All staff perform as per store procedures and up to date with mandatory training requirements. Relevant staff training organised Staff mentoring and coaching arranged according to staff development needs. Staff motivation activities arranged for staff Staff absenteeism meets store targets Disciplinary and grievance process conducted timeously in a manner that is procedurally and substantively fair. Effective management of stock Maintain stock value at correct level for store size Out of stock items to be kept to a minimum Manage stock ordering process, KVI's always in stock Manage perpetual stock taking process Run full stocktake Reconciliations up to date Housekeeping to group standards. Shelves always merchandised correctly Yard products set out neatly Fleet Management Daily checklist for vehicles set up and utilized by staff Vehicle Maintenance plan in place and actioned accordingly Licenses in place for all drivers Licenses up to date Vehicles clean and with Build it logo Control vehicles expenses Send vehicles for COR timeously Optimise use of fleet before hiring third parties Store Security Opening and closing of the store Shrinkage Control Checklist tasks allocated to Management and monitored daily. Liaise with security company to discuss security issues. Checking and maintaining security equipment Opening and closing routines conducted consistently Salary will be market realted and can be further discussed apon appying.
