Head of Digital - Gauteng

The head of digital has the responsibility of translating the digital marketing efforts into a cohesive strategy for our clients. The head of digital must be able to collaborate with different teams to ensure brand consistency. As the head of digital, you should demonstrate excellent digital skills combined with knowledge of the latest marketing techniques.The head of digital should ultimately, be able to plan and deliver an effective digital strategy to achieve our business goals. The head of digital should be continuously building the digital capability within the agency as well as training the team. They should also be up to date with the latest tech developments and share these with the team. The head of digital is accountable to the MD (Havas Media South Africa) for the digital aspects of the job and the social media aspect of the job. Some of the responsibilities include:Build digital capability within the agencyEach team must have access to relevant trainingEnsure that teams are up to date with latest tech developmentsMap digital capabilities to strategic priorities. Digital won’t get the visibility or support it needs if it’s not helping the company get where it wants to goDevelop and administer the digital project portfolioCreate and document processes for digital work, including supplying templatesDevelop ways to attract and retain top talent. Companies often have more mature visions for digital than they do skillsReview all digital work leaving the agencyEnsure that digital work comes in on budget and on timeAssisting the CSO with creation of digital strategiesBriefing/Assisting in briefing major campaigns/social mediaBuild a digital implementation team within the agencyEnsuring management of agency digital/social platformsBriefing minor creative (banners)Project Management Requirements:Leadership – Has the ability to run a department without assistanceLeading change – Shares the values of Havas.
