Our client, a FMCG conglomerate with a strong market presence across South Africa is seeking a Head of Logistics that can oversee and steer their warehouse, transport, and distribution network. Key duties will include:
- Development of Logistics strategies
- Management of internal operations and 3PL’s
- Implementation of flow strategy from production sites to customer DC’s
- Cost optimization
- Business partner with procurement teams regarding contracting and tenders of outsourced service providers
- Lead sustainability and technology advancements from a logistics perspective
Requirements:
- BCom degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
- 10 years relevant experience in a senior logistics role
- Experience working in the FMCG / Food and beverages industry
- Strong leadership and business acumen skills – developing teams
- Willing to travel to various location nationally
- Senior stakeholder engagement
