Head of Medical Aid - - Johannesburg

RE5 Exam & FSCA approved qualification
5 years experience in Insurance industry at Managerial/Senior level
Knowledge of Medical Aid/Medical Insurance and GAP cover with ability to craft comprehensive comparisons and solutions for clients
Knowledge of regulatory requirements as well as compliance with FAIS and FICA

Responsibilities :

Act as primary contact for clients and engage in business development initiative to achieve growth in client portfolio
Service all Medical Aid clients by reviewing plans and conduct required consultation with clients
Liaise with clients regarding Medical Aid updates and value add options
Achieve compliance with regulatory requirements such as FIAS & FICA
Conduct regular meetings with relevant Stakeholders
Conduct health care related training and induction training
Research Medical Aid cover options and present options to potential clients highlighting cost and benefits
Negotiate with service providers and develop health care related programs
Provide assistance to junior colleagues and engage in all business development initiatives with the company
Implement strategies to maintain client retention
