We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, customer focused, passionate, with technical knowhow to ensure our Product team is working efficiently with Tech to tackle our biggest business challenges. Your responsibilities will include: - Creating, owning and communicating the vision for our product strategy and roadmaps, alongside our Executive team, not only for existing but for future products too - Developing an effective Product Management function that is focused on user-centricity, is data-driven, and incorporates iterative product development - Stakeholder management - you are the link between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring buy-in across the business and taking responsibility for the end product - Growing and leading a Product team - direct line management for Product Owners and Product Designers, eliminating blockers for teams to work efficiently and overall responsibilities for tech deliverables - Building an understanding of our users through market research and customer engagement in order to adjust development accordingly and solve for problems along our customer journey - Work closely with our Marketing, Data and Engineering teams to understand business performance and key opportunities - Drive user testing and user-focused activities, to ensure our customers are always at the forefront of what we do - Be a champion of the product vision and strategy, implementing world-class product development practises THE COMPETENCIES WE'RE AFTER - Confident and experienced decision-maker - Strategic, big picture thinker with the ability to execute and get things over the line - Strong collaboration skills and high EQ - Positive, high energy and committed to the mission and our values - Strong analytical skills and data insights to make product decisions - Deep knowledge of customer desires and behaviors - Willingness to roll up your sleeves in a start-up, entrepreneurial environment - Excellent stakeholder management skills - Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor a team THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Bachelor degree in a relevant field or equivalent - 5 years of experience in product management, ideally within a start-up or high-growth company - bonus point for financial services or fintech experience - Proven ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations - Successful track record as a Product leader with experience mentoring Product Owners - Experience defining product strategy and prioritising roadmaps collaboratively - Prior experience working with Engineering teams in an Agile environment - Experience with prototyping, testing, and validating product hypotheses, and have proven success at identifying MVPs which transition to valuable and appealing products - Technical acumen and genuine passion for technology - Well-versed in core concepts related to UI/UX design - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
